Franco Albini. Architect, designer, university instructor and town planner.

Born in 1905 in Robbiate, Albini obtained his degree in architecture at Politecnico di Milano university in 1929 and soon started to work as designer. After the meeting with Le Corbusier, Van Der Rohe and Edoardo Persico, he focus the attention on the Neo Rationalism architectural movement. Functionality, fundament of the movement, represent for Albini the language to use. Beside the design object production, like the Infinito bookshelf and the Cicognino side table, he work to high level architectural operas in collaboration with other major architects and designers: Ignazio Garfella and Franca Helg, are just some.
